The St. John Bosco High School Football program held its third and final day of the Braves Youth Football Camp. Current coaches and players of the two-time California State Title football program (2013 and 2016) led drills for the boys in 3rd through 8th grades for the 3-day camp that began on Monday.
Leon McFadden (SJB' 09), former NFL player and camp sponsor, coached up the boys as well as shared motivational remarks at the conclusion of Day 3 today.
Over 150 boys participated in the camp which for the first time was held in the new football stadium on campus, the Panish Family Stadium. Indeed, the campers being coached on the very same field where the best high-school football action in the country takes place on Friday nights.
Bosco football alumni, current coaches, and players taught basic offensive, defensive and special team fundamentals to the campers--including individual drills, combine tests, 7 on 7 passing scrimmages, blocking technique drills, and team events. Proper tackling form and techniques were also demonstrated.
