BELLFLOWER -- The first games of the football season on the Bosco campus occurred today with the Freshman Braves kicking off in the Panish Family Stadium vs Edison while the Junior Varsity faced off against Shadow Hills on the campus' back field.

Here is how the freshman Braves ended...a 40-22 victory over the Edison Chargers.

One of the highlights of the game was this spectacular touchdown reception to make it 12-0 Braves.

The focus of the receiver on the ball with his defender making contact and draped all over him makes this my play of the game (video below)!

Since both games were being played simultaneously, I headed to the back turf field to catch some JV action (most of my students are sophomores which the JV team is loaded with). Our JV Braves played Shadow Hills and were able to notch their first win of the year.

One highlight of the game was this run by Class of 2021 RB, Elali McNair, who would not let himself be brought down..

Freshman Braves: 1-0

JV Braves: 1-0

Varsity Braves: 0-0
